Proposed Changes to Aids to Navigation marking Port Tobacco River-Upper Potomac River.

The Coast Guard is soliciting comment on the following changes to the aids to navigation marking Port Tobacco River. Charts Affected: 12285 and 12288

Rename:

  • Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 10 (LL 17795) to Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 8
  • Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 14 (LL 17805) to Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 10
  • Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 15 (LL 17810) to Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 11

Discontinue:
Port Tobacco River Daybeacon 12, TRUB (LL 17800) marked with a temporary buoy.

Interested Mariners and other stakeholders are strongly encouraged to comment on the potential impacts this proposal would have on navigational safety. You may provide feedback using the U. S. Coast Guard Fifth District Waterway Data Sheet, available online at http://bit.ly/2cAMHVN.

All comments will be carefully considered and are requested prior to October 17, 2016 to be considered in this analysis. Refer to project number 05-16-121(D)
